Since 2008, has been the High Commissioner’s Representative to Turkey. As a graduate of the Faculty of Law, Mr. Gaudé has served UNHCR for twenty-nine years in a number of functions in several countries, including in Africa and the Middle East, as well as at UNHCR’s Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. Upon Mr. Gaudé’s retirement by the end of March 2010, Ms. Carol A. Batchelor has been appointed as the UNHCR Representative in Turkey. Ms. Batchelor will take office in the following weeks.
